Summary

The Mavic Air 2 combines great features alongside a versatile and light weight drone. It provides high quality video and with 48 megapixel images it provides the largest resolution photos of any consumer drone (even it’s upgrade the Air 2S). It also has foldable arms and at less than 600 grams is easy to travel with.

The only reason it lacks a 5 star rating is due to the how the EU laws effect where you will be able to fly this quadcopter with it being a legacy drone. In America however this drone would undoubtedly be a 5 star drone.

Quality

DJI are the industry leaders and are well known for their exceptional quality. The Air 2 feels strong and robust and can take few crashes with not more than some broken propellers. The 4K video and images it produces are easy to obtain and it is sure to take your footage to the next level.

Portability

The Mavic Air 2 with it’s foldable arms is small, light and highly portable. Whether you are traveling abroad or cycling to a local park, at less than 600 grams you can be ensured of hassle free travel. If you invest in the Flymore Combo it comes with a convenient shoulder bag and two extra batteries. Pretty cool for such a high level drone.

Performance

The Mavic Air 2 will allow you to capture professional quality video and images with ease. You can use ‘QuickShots’ which are intelligent flight modes to automatically take quality footage of a subject at the tap of a button. Other intelligent smart modes such as active track allow the drone to follow a chosen subject at as it moves while it’s obstacle avoidance navigates around obstructions in its path.

With a 34 minute maximum battery life it has one of the longest flight times of any consumer drones giving you plenty of time to get all the shots you need.

Range

Using DJI OcuSync 2.0 the Mini 2 can have up to a 10km range in America and 6km outside of America. This is a huge range and far surpasses the legal distances allowed by any country. It is also worth mentioning that the transmission is incredibly clear, which is great for peace of mind.

Value

The Air 2 out is a great all round drone and balances practicality with quality beautifully. It is good value at £769, but if you can afford slightly more, it may be worth looking at the Air 2S.
